I earned a B.S. Secondary Education and taught Physical Science for 2 1/2 years before deciding it wasn't for me. I currently work as an assistant to a grant program at Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as keep statistics for the volleyball, football and basketball teams. My greatest job is that of being Mom to my beautiful little 6 year old girl, Abigail (Abby) Christine. She was named in memory of Chris.
A resident of Nacogdoches, TX, I have enjoyed singing in my church choir, singing with the After 5 Singers (a local performing group that sings Broadway Show tunes), and performing as an actress with the Lamp-lite theatre (yes, the theatre will take ANYBODY!). They are great sources of outlet for me, although right now my time is spent running Abby around!
Life is not what I had envisioned it to be 20 years ago, but I count it all joy as my struggles and successes have made me a stronger and ultimately happier person. I have thoroughly enjoyed reacquainting myself with old friends who have ended up being a major strength and support in my life. It is good to be alive! |
